Welfare and Recuperation Facility for Police Personnel
This initiative was implemented in accordance with the policy set forth by Police General Chakthip Chaijinda, the then Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police. His directive mandated all unit commanders to develop their respective units in order to boost morale, provide encouragement, and enhance the welfare of their subordinates.
In 2019, Police Lieutenant General Sompong Chingduang, then Commissioner of the Border Patrol Police (BPP), initiated the Police Officer Rehabilitation and Rest Home Project. The project was established as a welfare benefit for police officers injured while on duty, offering them a place for physical and psychological recovery. It also serves as a welfare benefit for lower-ranking police officers and their families, allowing them to rest and relax in a soothing environment. The project received approval from Police General Chakthip Chaijinda, then Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police. The initiative was supported by the private sector, the public, and dedicated police officers with charitable intentions. No government budget was used for the project.
